Ruben A. Howard II, Ph.D. is the current Business Department Chair and Professor of Logistics at Lone Star College Cyfair.
Howard earned a Doctorate from Capella University, a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M, a Master of Transportation Management from Texas Southern University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Jackson State University.
Before joining Lone Star College Cyfair in 2004, Howard worked within the supply chain industry in a variety of roles including warehousing and distribution, (3PL) third party logistics, motor and air transportation, and international logistics.
His professional activities include serving as the Education Chair of the (CSCMP) Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Houston Roundtable and a Board Member of the Texas Southern University Maritime Transportation Program. Dedicated to serving the community, he is very active in various nonprofit organizations throughout the Greater Houston area. Howard is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and the 100 Black Men of America. In his spare time he enjoys restoring antique cars, golfing, and fishing.
