Computer Info

Let’s get familiar with the hardware of the computer that you’ll be using for CAM class. If anyone is going to have trouble getting access to a working computer contact me ASAP at shane.t.hooper@lonestar.edu

 

Directions

  1. On the bottom left corner of your computer desktop, click the “Start” icon (Windows Symbol).
  2. On your keyboard type “This PC.” An App Icon named “This PC” will appear.
  3. Right click on “This PC” icon and click on “Properties” from the drop down.
  4. The basic information of your computer will display.
  5. Create a Notepad or text document and name it “My Computer Info.”
  6. Provide the following Information

 

Operating System

 

  • What edition of Windows is your computer using?
  • What processor is your system using?
  • How much RAM does your computer use?
  • What system type does your computer use? 32-bit or 64-bit?

 

Graphics Card

 

Next, provide the graphics card info:

  • On the bottom left corner of your computer desktop, click the “Start” icon (Windows Symbol).
  • On your keyboard type “Device Manager”
  • The Device Manager Icon will appear.
  • Left Click on Device Manager.
  • A list of “Device hardware” and “Drivers”  will appear.
  • Find the “Device” named “Display Adapter.”
  • Click the drop down and your computer graphics card type will be shown.
  • Provide me with your graphics card type on the notepad your writing.

 

Assignment

Save and send the notepad or text document named “My Computer Info” with the provided information above. (This is a Daily Assignment grade)
