For Fall 2017, there are fewer sections of the ALEKS Open Lab, and the Open Labs will only be available from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. However, if these don’t fit your schedule then you may request an exception to not attend as regular – there will be additional requirements if this is the case. If you’re unsure then please email me at the address below for clarification.

Students will be required to log onto ALEKS every week and expected to invest no less than six hours each week, with two of those hours attending in the ALEKS Open Lab during any operating hours (unless you get an attendance exception):

• Mondays: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm at LSC-Greenspoint Center, room 312
• Tuesdays: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm at LSC-Victory Center, room 110
• Wednesdays: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm at LSC-Greenspoint Center, room 312
• Thursdays: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm at LSC-Victory Center, room 110
• Friday through Sunday: closed

The ALEKS Open Labs at both LSC-Greenspoint Center and LSC-Victory Center are expanding in the spring, and we welcome all students of Math 0306, 0308, 0310, 1314, and 1316 who have minimal computer skills, some self-discipline, and the desire to work as quickly or slowly as necessary to learn the material.​

The ALEKS Open Lab classes for Spring 2017 are all coded as “Hybrid” courses and students will be expected to attend the ALEKS Open Lab on campus for at least two hours each week (exceptions may be made on individual bases); those hours can be during any ALEKS Open Lab hours.

The hours of the two ALEKS Open Labs will be expanding next semester to include all hours from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm, Monday through Thursday (when one lab closes at 3:00pm, the other opens).

Orientation will be required, but students can attend any of the scheduled hours (not just the hour signed up for). A complete schedule of orientation will be emailed to all enrolled students at the beginning of the semester.
