—-BIOGRAPHY—-

Formally trained in acting, directing, vocal music, choral conducting, piano, drawing, and watercolor, Eric is a multi-faceted artist/performer who has been involved in live stage performance since Kindergarten. His theatrical work has been seen in Texas, New Mexico, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and California. He has toured with concert productions across the United States and Canada and abroad in Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, France, and Italy.

Since 2003, Eric has served as Professor of Theatre and Artistic Director of Theatre at Lone Star College-Kingwood, gathering state, regional, and national recognition for his directing.  His dedication to teaching has been recognized throughout his teaching career:

  • 2017 John & Suanne Roueche Excellence in Teaching Award

Eric is a guest vocalist for the Kingwood Big Band and Kingwood Pops Orchestra. He is frequently seen as emcee for events at LSC-Kingwood and around the community. He is also in high demand as a UIL One-Act Play critic judge and a Kennedy Center-American College Theatre Festival play respondent.

Eric earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting & Directing from Texas Tech University in 2003. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music Education. He taught theatre, music, art, and speech in the Texas public schools for 7 years – teaching all levels from Kindergarten to 12th grade.

In his “spare time”, Eric performs with and sits on the Board of Directors for the Ken Davis Chorale.
