Michael began teaching at North Harris College in the fall of 1994 as an adjunct professor in the CIT department. In the fall of 1999 he took a full-time position with North Harris College as an Associate Professor of Computer Science. He is currently the Assistant Chair of the Computer Science Department.Michael has a wide variety of industry experience. At the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center he held positions as a PC Instructor, Office and Budget Manager, Network Administrator and Database Manager. At M. D. Anderson Cancer Center he worked as a Performance Improvement Specialist focusing on mainframe application training.

Michael received his B.B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Houston – Downtown in 1988. He completed his M.B.A in Management in 2001 from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. He also received a Master’s Certificate in eCommerce in 2002. In 2004, Michael began course work for a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Walden University. You can find a copy of his dissertation proposal here in PDF format and in HTML format
