Included in the “Syllabus” is information about the “EBook/Access Code” and links to purchase it. Make sure you immediately review all of these documents closely and carefully.
I am sharing this information early so you can be prepared to start the first-day of classes because you have lessons and assignments that will be due the following week.
If you are using “financial aid” funds to pay for your “access code” review the Syllabus and I will discuss in class alternative solutions..

Yes, you need the textbook (Immediately) for the course listed in the syllabus. I have posted information about the new “bookstore” policy in the “Announcement” that you can view. Order it online NOW so you can have it when class starts.
On the first day of class, you will need to view a lot of material on Lone Star Online (D2L). Be prepared to view this material, and act on it. Since this is an online class, there is information in the Syllabus and Class Policy about “Attendance (Check-In), Weekly Zoom meeting, Assignments due, etc.
