Italy Summer Study Abroad 2019
REDEFINE CLASSROOM
GEOG/ANTH This is a field study program for students interested in studying physical and cultural environments in and around the Campanian Region of Southern Italy.
GEOG 1301 Physical Geography will focus on physical geo-systems (weather/climate/landform processes) with an emphasis on Campania, Italy. We also explore human/environmental interactions around the region and its impact on economy and culture. Students are introduced to geospatial technology/fieldwork methods and conduct simple data gathering exercises to produce maps of their experiences.
Dates: 6 week Summer program – May 13 – June 20, 2019 (classroom/travel)

Castellammare di Stabia (12 nights)
Rome: (4 nights)Program Courses: Students earn 7 cr/hrs
GEOG 1301 Physical Geography (3 cr/hr)
ANTH 2302 Introduction to Archaeology (3 cr/hr)
PHED 1164 Introduction to Physical Fitness and Wellness (1 cr/hr)Note: the program is an integrated leaning community – students enroll in all 3 sections.
Cost: $3280 (air/ground transportation, lodging, meals, and activities).
Note: Program cost does not include tuition (7 cr/hr)
Deadline to Apply: March 1, 2018 (payment in full due)
Deposit: $500 deposit due at the time of application to secure space in the program.
Program Cap: 15 Students (space is limited)
