MAC tutoring: The Math Achievement Center (MAC) is an open Math tutoring lab located in Winship 110. Tutors are available for all math classes provided at LSC-NH and the MAC provides access to various forms of technology to support student learning and success. Students can check out laptops for use in the MAC to complete math assignments and have access to interactive projectors and desk top computers with all the software used in their math classes. Students are encouraged to use the MAC to visit with a tutor, meet with a group in one of the study rooms, or review with an instructor in the conference room.

Pretest and Review

Please watch the following videos and review the corresponding topics before you start this class. They cover some essential prerequisite material for college algebra. You need to master these topics before you can understand the stuff we are going to cover in 1314. If you cannot recall them after watching the videos, please email me and we will discuss your options.

  1. Order of operations with integers: Video 1
  2. Fractions: Video 1Video 2Video 3
  3. Exponents: Video 1
  4. Factoring: Video 1
  5. Rational Expressions: Video 1Video 2Video 3
  6. Radicals: Video 1

For more, click on this link: Review Videos and watch all the videos under the Review sections

This is a test on material from a prerequisite course: PreTest. You should be able to each of these items fairly readily. For solutions, I remind you that you have access to the planet.
